Kindle For PC App In Beta

With the Barnes & Noble Nook getting a good reception, Amazon certainly isn’t going to sit back and let things be. After the iPhone Kindle app, there is the Kindle for PC app, albeit it’s still in Beta. While the app won’t support other formats aside from Kindle ebooks, it’s still a fairly good reader all, though we suspect folks who own an actual Kindle would be happier to stick to their Kindle hardware. Opera has just announced that they will make Mobile 10 beta for Symbian S60 handsets available, where it will work perfectly fine on Symbian S60 3rd and 5th editions, which means your cellphone doesn't need to have a touchscreen display to get started. Touted to have double the speed of older versions for Symbian, you will also benefit from desktop-like features including Speed Dial and tabbed browsing. [Press Release]
