Buffalo Inc. is a manufacturer of storage, multimedia, and wireless networking products for the home and small business. Buffalo is a subsidiary of Melco Holdings Inc., a family-owned business founded by Makoto Maki in 1975. The company was previously involved in manufacturing audio equipments, but it finally entered the computer peripheral market in 1981. Today, Buffalo is recognized as the number one overall PC peripheral manufacturer in Japan, and has been a consumer NAS market leader from year 2005 to 2010. Buffalo has offices in the U.K., France, Netherlands, Germany, Taiwan, and U.S.
