11/26/2009, While it certainly sounds impossible at first, after sitting down and thinking about it seriously, you might begin to understand why. What are we talking about? It’s the recent survey from YouGov’s BrandIndex, which reports that that Motorola surpassed Apple in terms of brand loyalty. It’s no mystery to guess what changed recently, namely the launch of the Motorola Droid and the scathing advertisements from Verizon Wireless. So do you […]
11/23/2009, Want to go one up on your friends? Motorola’s Droid prototype seemed to have made its way to eBay, where bidding starts from $485 upwards. Apparently, this is believed to be one of the five prototypes available, making it all the more rare and exotic compared to other supercars. You get a chrome bezel with this instead of a black one, silver buttons instead of gold and some sort of […]
11/21/2009, Motorola has confirmed that it will be sorting out the Droid camera problems via an automatic over-the-air (OTA) update. As we had noticed in our complete Droid Review, the phone’s current 5-megapixel camera often seems to have trouble focusing and it also seems to produce red corners in photos taken. The problem has been cited as a rather weird timing bug related to the time, which seems to be correct […]
11/20/2009, Dell has slashed the Motorola Droid (see our review) price to a mere $119 with a 2-year contract with Verizon Wireless. Good news for those who want a Droid and don’t mind sticking to the same carrier as this deal also applies to contract extensions. At $119 a pop, it is clearly tempting, especially when Dell will Fedex it to your doorstep for free.
11/19/2009, While it seems that AT&T’s lawsuit against Verizon over its “there’s a map for that” advertisements doesn’t seem to be able to stop Verizon just yet, AT&T has also hit back with its own advertisements. Hiring film actor Luke Wilson, the ad will guide viewers through a chart comparing several aspects of the 3G networks. Wilson also credits AT&T with having the fastest network, the ability to use voice and […]
11/17/2009, Have you been encountering autofocus issues with your Motorola Droid? While a lot of people have been encountering said problem, it seems that some folks have actually seen the problem suddenly disappear permanently. Some folks noticed it after rebooting, some noticed it even without rebooting. It seems to indicate that Verizon might have pushed out the update to users early, despite some leaked documents suggesting that the fix would have […]
11/16/2009, A relatively small number of unhappy Droid customers are reporting voice quality issues with the Droid and it quickly made the news. We have not been able the reproduce the issue in our office, but please […]
11/13/2009, Some of you may be rather miffed that some variants of the Motorola Droid don’t support multitouch, despite the device having a capacitive display. Based on the video above, it doesn’ t seem to bad, though to be honest, the feature really should have been included from the […]

Good news is, at least one of the two firmware updates will be out sometime between this December and next January.
11/10/2009, Motorola’s Droid has managed to shift more than 100,000 units over its first weekend, which is more or less half the available stock in teh market at the moment. With more and more smartphones being powered by the Android OS, Motorola hopes that renewed interest in the Google-powered segment will see the Droid move 1,000,000 units before the year is over, and ten times that amount by the end of […]
