03/04/2011, The HTC Droid Eris might have been long, gone, and forgotten by a lot of people, but it looks like Verizon hasn’t forgotten it. They have just released an over the air update for the phone and no, it doesn’t update the phone to Android 2.2. But it does provide a few bug fixes and adds some new features to the Android phone. The update includes: improved Bluetooth connection performance […]
12/30/2010, We haven’t heard about the Droid Eris in some time and if you were thinking of installing Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread on some phone, chances are that it wouldn’t be the first phone on your mind unless you owned one. Now the smart folks over at the XDA-forums are busy working on bringing Google’s latest and greatest mobile operating system to the Droid Eris. The current build is already up […]
09/17/2010, Owners of the HTC Droid Eris from Verizon Wireless will be disappointed when they hear of this news – it will not see the Android 2.2 Froyo update anytime in the near future, or ever. While it might be hard to take, it isn’t too surprising either since Verizon has already stopped selling the HTC Droid Eris since June this year. Of course, this doesn’t mean that all hope is […]
04/12/2010, Looks like it is time to call it a day for both the HTC Droid Eris and Tour 9630, where the former will be arriving at its end of life state sometime in May. Apart from that, the BlackBerry Tour 9630 has been listed as going end of life in June. Guess this might just be the tonic to further boost rumors of the BlackBerry Bold 9650 being released in […]
02/17/2010, It seems that Verizon is already offering the Android 2.1 update (with Sense UI) to Droid Eris owners Over-The-Air (OTA), although only a handful of folks have claimed to have received it. Installing the update is pretty problematic though, since many reports of complete device wipes have already filtered through alongside Google account synchronization issues. As always, the golden rule of thumb would be to backup all of your data […]
12/04/2009, Verizon Wireless has announced that they will be offering the HTC Droid Eris that will come equipped with an updated version of Android, where it comes with integrated Google Maps Navigation sometime in the first quarter of next year. There isn’t much to speculate about since Google’s navigation application already runs fine on the Donut update. Just some trivia for you folks – the Droid is currently ahead of other […]
10/29/2009, Another day, another leak – this time round the upcoming HTC Droid Eris plays victim, where we finally have the confirmed look of the device alongside a November 6th release date which will go up against the Motorola DROID from Verizon on the same day. Confirmed features include Wi-Fi connectivity, a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus capability and the revealed $99 price point.
10/29/2009, Remember the HTC Eris that we talked about yesterday? Well, it seems as though this handset will retail for $99 with an agreement, of course (presumably 2 years) when released. This is interesting considering the HTC Hero is going for nearly double that amount at $180 on Sprint, although the Eris won’t come with high end hardware specifications.
10/28/2009, Here’s a leaked image of the upcoming HTC Droid Eris which won’t be as powerful as the Motorola Droid, although it will still be powered by a 528MHz Qualcomm chip and Android 1.5 running right out of the box. No idea on why Android 2.0 wasn’t included with this release, alongside the fact that the Droid Eris will be running on a slower processor and older OS. Perhaps it is […]
07/08/2009, Now this is one of the more unique timepieces that we’ve come across, thanks to the ideas of students from l’Ecole d’Arts Appliqués Genèva. Known as the Eris spherical watch from Pierre Junod, it pays homage to the solar system’s dwarf planet of a similar moniker. The hour hand is white in color to make it stand out, while the orange minute hand and laser engraved figures further help you […]
