SplitFish Dual SFX Evolution controller ships

The PC crossover controller known as SplitFish Dual SFX Evolution is now shipping just in time to meet the Christmas deadline for those who want something different under the tree this holiday season. The Dual SFX Evolution “combines the intuitive action gaming mechanics of 2 tier accuracy control into one complete control interface”, resulting in an integrated motion/analog joystick system which offers the advantage of both macro and micro gaming control for superior accuracy and customizable gameplay. Do you think this will help you become a better gamer, or just a cooler one?

Future Sony gaming controller

When Nintendo first announced their Wiimote, both Sony and Microsoft laughed at the Japanese company for being too kiddy. Fast forward a few years and Nintendo is having the last laugh, with one of Sony's patents showing off an "expandable control device via hardware attachment" that boasts buttons which unmistakably belong to a PlayStation. This wand-like controller comes with a modular design that can be used for different configurations, depending on the situation. Will this beat out Microsoft's pure gesture controls found in Project Natal?

Suma gaming controller

Fresh out of the UK is Cambridge Consultants' Suma game controller that looks more like a rubber stress ball than anything else, where it will respond appropriately to the user's pressure and grip. All commands on this gaming controller are carried out courtesy of its integrated sensors, where one can move the cursor in 3D space to make it suitable for gaming use. No word on when this will finally hit the market, but they ought to do something about the design beforehand though.

Blobo squeezable game controller

Are game controllers getting all weird or what - the Blobo squeezable game controller shares roughly the same dimensions as that of a golf ball, where it will keep in touch with your PC or cellphone via Bluetooth. Each purchase will come with half a dozen sports games, where it can track whether you are running, jumping, dribbling or karate chop-ping your time away. Don't think that this €54.90 device will be a Christmas mover.

Fire Dragon USB controller

Do you happen to do more gaming on your computer compared to the other home consoles in your living room? If that's the case and most of your games do better with a joypad compared to a keyboard and a mouse, perhaps this Fire Dragon USB controller might be just the thing for you as it comes with an Xbox 360-like controller configuration, complete with a long tail and wings by the sides. The tail itself can be removed in case you're feeling uncomfortable with it - too bad this $29 peripheral cannot breathe out actual fire.

You Rock Guitar Set For Debut

E3 might have been much more muted compared to its heydays, but that doesn't detract from its importance. We have word that the You Rock Guitar will be released at E3 later this June, and this gaming peripheral will function not only on all major consoles but play nice with the PC as well. In addition, you can connect the You Rock Guitar to a PC, amplifier, MP3 player, iPod, cellphone or headphones directly. The guitar's neck adds to the realism with the inclusion of strings and frets that feel like the real deal, while a Gameflex plug-in cartridge system enables it to function with the Xbox, PS3, PS2 and Wii consoles. You will have to fork out $149.99 for the You Rock Guitar while Gameflex modules cost anywhere from $19.99 to $24.99.

DJ Hero Turntable Controller

Since Guitar Hero came out, third party accessory manufacturers must have had a great time coming up with all sorts of accessories to complement such games, and the release of Rock Band and the Nintendo Wii has greatly helped their cause. Activision who is currently developing another musical title known as DJ Hero also has a new controller to go along with it, and it comes in the shape of a turntable (obviously). All the controls look to be placed on the record, so you can forget about honing or even picking up your scratching skills here.
