09/17/2010, Owners of the HTC Droid Eris from Verizon Wireless will be disappointed when they hear of this news – it will not see the Android 2.2 Froyo update anytime in the near future, or ever. While it might be hard to take, it isn’t too surprising either since Verizon has already stopped selling the HTC Droid Eris since June this year. Of course, this doesn’t mean that all hope is […]
09/10/2010, The Samsung P3 portable media player which came out last year might not have knocked the iPod off its perch, but it still is a decent PMP to begin with. Well, the P3 has been on the receiving end of customization efforts for over a year now, ranging from a simple user-created ABI background swap to a Vista Theme as well as mimicking the Cowon S9 user interface. Well, someone […]
08/11/2010, The HTC Droid Eris is no longer on sale from Verizon for more than a month already, and if you have a soft spot for the Android-powered smartphone, you might be interested to know that Disney could very well use the Droid Eris as a GPS tour guide. 06/23/2010, Verizon Wireless seems to have finally put the Droid Eris out of its misery as the mobile carrier is not offering this smartphone any more. Even if you look hard enough all over their site for the Droid Eris, you will find only past support documents and accessories, but not the handset itself. What do you think – will the world miss the Droid Eris, or are they too enamoured […]
04/12/2010, Looks like it is time to call it a day for both the HTC Droid Eris and Tour 9630, where the former will be arriving at its end of life state sometime in May. Apart from that, the BlackBerry Tour 9630 has been listed as going end of life in June. Guess this might just be the tonic to further boost rumors of the BlackBerry Bold 9650 being released in […]
02/17/2010, It seems that Verizon is already offering the Android 2.1 update (with Sense UI) to Droid Eris owners Over-The-Air (OTA), although only a handful of folks have claimed to have received it. Installing the update is pretty problematic though, since many reports of complete device wipes have already filtered through alongside Google account synchronization issues. As always, the golden rule of thumb would be to backup all of your data […]

10/28/2009, Here’s a leaked image of the upcoming HTC Droid Eris which won’t be as powerful as the Motorola Droid, although it will still be powered by a 528MHz Qualcomm chip and Android 1.5 running right out of the box. No idea on why Android 2.0 wasn’t included with this release, alongside the fact that the Droid Eris will be running on a slower processor and older OS. Perhaps it is […]
