01/04/2012, Gone are the days when SUVs are considered as gas guzzlers – not with the introduction of hybrid technology, that is. The Volvo XC60 Plug-in Hybrid concept is the latest idea from the Swedish motoring company. While most of the world will remain fixated on CES 2012 that kicks off for the masses this coming Sunday, the Detroit Auto Show is not that far off either, being just days away, […]
12/23/2011, When you think of iconic aspects of London, you probably think of the black cabs, the London underground, telephone booths and their double-decker buses. Well as it turns out, the double-decker bus will be getting a makeover come 2012 and will become a hybrid double-decker bus that officials promise is “most environmentally friendly” and “the latest, greatest masterpiece of British engineering.” Their words, not ours.
12/12/2011, If you’re craving for a phoneblet (smartphone + tablet hybrid) device and the Samsung Galaxy Note is a little out of your budget, the good news is that Lenovo’s own phoneblet, the LePad S2005 has gone on sale in China, although no word if there are plans for a stateside or international release.
12/07/2011, Back in September, the Samsung Galaxy Note was spotted at the FCC, and for those who have been meaning to get their hands on it, the good news is that the phone/tablet hybrid has recently gotten its stamp of approval from the FCC which means that it is primed for release, although when that is remains a mystery for now.
12/05/2011, Some time back in November, we reported that ASUS’s Padfone was spotted on GLBenchmarks with a Qualcomm MSM8960 processor. As it turns out that may not be the case according to Nicole Scott from netbooknews.com who claims to have it on good authority that the ASUS Padfone will not be running on a Qualcomm processor, but NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor instead.
12/02/2011, The Tokyo Motor Show this year will feature its fair share of starlets as usual, and surely going green is one of the main themes. Suzuki delivered their Swift EV Hybrid vehicle that will boast of an extended range to better cater for its customers. 11/29/2011, For those living in China, great news as Lenovo has announced that the LePad S2005 will be headed your way. 11/22/2011, Dell has the Dell Streak 5 and Samsung has the Galaxy Note 5.3, both of which seem to be some sort of hybrid between phones and tablets. 11/17/2011, In this day and age, it is nearly impossible to live without electricity – sure, you can keep warm with fur coats or use charcoal to fire up that heater in your home, but none of those are going to get your iPad up and running once it has exhausted its battery, right? In order to deliver power to rural Navajos in a green and cost effective manner, a hybrid […]

Well, we also know that Honda has an interest in keeping the world green for future generations thanks to hybrid models of the Insight, CR-Z and Civic, but their latest hybrid model will not be as large as the aforementioned […]
11/04/2011, The Karma luxury sedan from Fisker is quite the interesting creature – it is capable of actually travelling a good 50 miles (and beyond, albeit slightly) on just electricity alone, making this hybrid sedan even more desirable. European regulatory body TUV has already tested the Karma independently, where the hybrid vehicle managed to accumulate 83 kilometers (51.6 miles) on its odometer on electric-only mode. Now for a little bit of […]
10/31/2011, What happens when you cross the now defunct Palm with their more recent smartphones with the Apple iPhone? I suppose it would be something like what you are looking at above – it somewhat resembles the Palm Pre, although it rings just like an iPhone when there is an incoming call. When that happens, the handset will switch over to the standard webOS interface on AT&T’s network. No idea on […]
10/31/2011, Some people just talk about things, but others actually do them – case in point, Land Rover’s Range_e concept which first made an appearance at the International Motor Show in Geneva, Switzerland, has finally made its way to a parking lot in Bristol, England, where it remained plugged in to have its built-in battery juiced up. What makes the Range_e concept so special? For starters, it has CO2 emissions of […]
10/24/2011, It is rather interesting that Nissan has no hybrid vehicle yet – although they already have released their rather successful Nissan LEAF some time ago. Well, I guess that Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan wants to bring the best of both worlds to you in the form of a hybrid vehicle, where this new plug-in people mover will not only improve product fuel efficiency, but also lower its environmental footprint.
