08/24/2011, About a week ago we reported that Starbucks had recently revamped their “Pick of the week” promotion, and instead of giving their patrons a free card that would allow them to redeem a free song, they instead changed it to a free app of the week. For music aficionados this was probably a little disappointing, but it appears that Starbucks is further expanding their offering.
08/16/2011, Buy a coffee, get a free music track! Sounds familiar? If it does, that’s because it’s been the deal Starbucks has been offering its patrons in the US for years, where buying coffee or a snack will net you a card that allows you to redeem a free song from iTunes. It looks like that business model and has been updated and instead of giving a free iTunes track, it […]

08/08/2011, It seems that the rumors surrounding the introduction of iTunes Replay that delivers cloud movie streaming might have swirled way too soon, as insiders who are more intimate with Apple than most have suggested that Apple is still short on deals with at least four out of the six major movie studios – representing a 67% shortfall. To put it in plain business parlance, any deal which might arise to […]
08/03/2011, There are whispers going around that Apple is preparing itself to deliver what it calls “iTunes Replay”, where this particular service allows one to re-download movies up to five times on the one computer you use, with the possibility of streaming it over to an iOS device. Sounds like an inviting software no matter the angle you approach it from, especially to iTunes customers who lost content due to nasty […]
07/30/2011, Apple launched 90 second song previews way back in December last year but to the chagrin of many users, it was only available in the United States. It was reported that Apple had to work hard with individual record labels just to introduce it here, so it took an even longer time to get it approved for international markets. Now, over half a year later, 90 second song previews are […]

07/01/2011, In case you haven’t heard, Apple’s iTunes Festival that’s held this year in London starts today – 31 nights and 62 artists performing their hits live on stage. Unfortunately, not everyone in the world can make it to London this month to catch their favorite acts in the flesh. Fortunately for those people, Apple has released an app to solve that problem. Called iTunes Festival London 2011, this app will turn your […]
06/17/2011, Prior to launch iCloud, Apple was apparently in talks with all four of the major labels – Sony, Warner, Universal and EMI about licensing their songs for what would be later revealed at WWDC, iTunes Match which is a service that matches the songs on your computer against what iTunes has to offer and for a fee of $25 a year it basically allows you to access those songs via […]
06/14/2011, Traditionally Apple has been giving away iPods as part of their back to school promotions whenever a customer purchases a Mac computer, but if 9to5Mac has got it right, it looks like this time Apple will instead be giving away a $100 iTunes gift card. This could be rather disappointing to users who were hoping for a free iPod but perhaps this is Apple’s way of getting their new Mac […]
