07/11/2012, You know you’ve got a successful device when you start seeing imitations of it on the market. Previously the iPhone was all the rage and now it looks like Samsung’s Galaxy S3 has taken its place. According to reports online, Samsung’s current flagship phone has spawned imitations in China. One such knock off features a 4.8″ 1280 x 720 display (not SAMOLED), an 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front facing camera, […]
11/10/2011, Own an iPad 2 and love the smart cover, but don’t see yourself spending the $39 needed just to get one? Well, the next time in China, you might want to look out for a Smart Cover knock off from a company named PBPEI. The folks over at micdigi.com recently got their hands on the imitation iPad 2 accessory, and were surprised at how well it worked. In fact, the […]
10/28/2011, The photo you’re looking at above could be passed off as the MacBook Air on first glance, well, actually on many glances but in reality it’s actually a MacBook Air clone by a company in China called Shenzhen Technology, who apparently insists that the device is real and not a photoshopped image, and is being tested by foreign companies as an OEM unit.
10/18/2011, Say what you will about knock off products and imitation goods, but there are times when those manufacturers get it right and if you didn’t know any better, you could find yourself walking away and wondering how on earth did you manage to land yourself such an incredible deal, which might be the case with the HDC Sensation.
09/30/2011, Wait, when did China get their hands on the Nokia N9? Nope, if you thought that was the Nokia N9, you can’t be blamed as it does look rather convincing upon first glance, especially with that garish magenta, which is one of the colors available for the actual Nokia N9 (along with black and turquoise).
08/22/2011, Do you own the 11” MacBook Air? If you do, you’re probably painfully aware that it does not come with a built in SD card reader, unlike its 13” sibling. Well if you’re looking for a USB SD card reader for your MacBook, why not get something that looks like it could potentially be an Apple product?
08/15/2011, A while back we reported that there have been discoveries of fake Apple stores in China. These stores copied Apple’s own stores right down to the uniforms and interior design. China then proceeded to shut down some of these stores and recently even more stores got shut down, but it looks like some of these owners got wise and managed to find a way around it by renaming their stores.
07/19/2011, Earlier on today we had reported on an Apple Smart Cover lookalike for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 by the company Anymode. While Samsung had not actually authorized the production of said cover or designed it themselves, their tacit approval spoke volumes. It seemed a little odd that they would approve of a product so similar in design to Apple’s Smart Cover, considering that both companies are currently in […]
06/27/2011, Are you a fan of all things Android? If you are, perhaps this MP3 speakers will be a great addition to your ever-growing Android memorabilia. Shaped like Android’s mascot, they’re obviously not official Google products, as you can see the label on the side which looks like “Gotge” to me. It certainly does not spell out “Google”. Shape and design wise, it’s hard not to admit that they were probably […]
