02/25/2014, I am quite sure that those of you who grew up as a kid in the 1980s would have heard of the Legend of Zelda, which happens to be one of the best video games created to date – never mind that one should not take the 8-bit graphics into consideration against today’s Full HD resolution. How does one turn an infallible classic into a legend? Certainly this is one […]
10/13/2013, How many of us guys grew up thinking that there is a particular damsel in distress who needs our help as she is more often than not trapped in some particular dastardly situation? Well, Zelda is one princess (alongside Princess Peach of Mario fame) who does seem to need some rescuing every now and then, and Link is the one who manages to save the world over and over again. […]
08/27/2013, It was not too long ago when we reported that The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD has been confirmed to arrive for the Wii U platform from Nintendo, and also had the pleasure of checking out a trailer of the game, but as the adage goes, “the early bird catches the worm.” You might have missed the proverbial “worm” here (which would be the trailer, of course) as the […]
06/17/2013, Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses is now on tour.
04/10/2013, For several years now, it seems Nicholas Cage has been in every movie possible, or at least has attempted to be somewhat included in nearly every film. Because of that, the internet has decided putting his face on pretty much anything and everything should be a thing, the results of which will probably terrify you and make you wish you could have the power to unsee things. This might be […]
07/31/2012, If you so happen to have $150,000 in spare cash lying around somewhere, or money that you have access to, and are looking for something to invest all that moolah in, perhaps it is time to look beyond the regular vehicles of investment such as property and financial instruments, or even less traditional modes such as wine, comic books or vintage cars. How about video game memorabilia? Enter the pre-release […]
01/23/2012, Earlier today we gave you some impressive Street Fighter pixel art in Minecraft, but it looks like the bar has been taken up a notch. Some folks have managed to recreate the entire world from the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Hyrule, in the game. Called Hyrulecraft, it is supposed to be a 1:1 scale replica of the game world. Seeing how I’m not a giant Zelda fan, and […]
01/20/2012, There have been case mods done in the past, although if you’re a Zelda fan you might get a kick out of this. This Legend of Zelda case mode for the NES was done by Ryan Fitzpatrick with the help of console painter Jayrod2. Based on the photo above of the finished product, we have to admit that it was a pretty good job and it looks sleek and elegant […]
12/22/2011, Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is a pretty popular game despite the humongous bug that basically forced players to start all over again. The good news is that even with the Nintendo Wii’s limitations that prevented the downloading of patches, Nintendo has managed to find a way to get the patch out to their players that should put an end to the bug once and for all.
11/08/2011, Fans of the Legend of Zelda franchise will be thrilled to find out that a limited edition Zelda themed Nintendo 3DS will be released on the 25th of November. The bad news is that its launch seems to be limited to just the European market, and there is no word if Nintendo has plans to make this limited edition Zelda themed 3DS available stateside or the rest of the world. […]
08/17/2011, Don’t you find it rather strange for Nintendo to roll out a new Legend of Zelda game at the end of a console’s lifecycle instead of doing it right at the beginning and somewhere in the middle, when the momentum is still there? No idea on whether the Legend of Zelda franchise name alone has enough power left these days to result in stupendous game sales. What we do know […]
06/07/2011, Kicking off Nintendo’s E3 press conference, Nintendo had an orchestra play memorable Legend of Zelda tunes while Shigeru Miyamoto reenacted Link’s motion. A trailer demoing 25 years worth of Zelda played to to a thunderous crowd. But what is Nintendo doing to celebrate the festivities? It’s releasing a bunch of games, a new gold Wii Remote and two special edition musical soundtracks. Hit the link to find out the full […]
05/25/2011, When it comes to video games, the manufacturers really know how to milk a franchise’s worth – short of coming out with quality sequels and beyond, there is also another strategy to open your purse strings willingly by tugging at your heart’s emotion, including rolling out special edition bundles that give you a picture of added perceived value compared to a standard offering. Enter The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of […]
12/27/2010, Who says archeology is boring – especially when we’re talking about digital archeology. Someone managed to dig up a prototype version of Legend of Zelda for the NES, where this early build was released internally and not meant for public circulation. Guess this “secret” of sorts was pretty well kept for a couple of decades, only to have it leaked out in the 21st century. Check out this build of […]
