As usual, things like this are not supposed to happen, but Apple has just released […]
10/26/2011, Last week we reported that Catcher Technology’s plants in China were reportedly reopening in November. The company is responsible for the bulk of the aluminum unibody cases used for the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and iMac, and based on reports, its temporary closure could result in a drop in shipments of 20% in October. The plant was previously forced to shut down and halt its operations due to complaints about […]

10/24/2011, It looks like all the previous rumors about a MacBook Pro refresh turned out to be true after all, with the exception of Bluetooth 4.0. As it turns out the newly refreshed MacBook Pros turned out to be more of a CPU and CPU refresh, opting to stick with Bluetooth 2.1 instead, but for those who don’t really care about Bluetooth or don’t use it often, we’re guessing this shouldn’t […]
10/21/2011, In case you didn’t know, one of the reasons that the MacBook Air is so thin is due to the fact that it lacks an optical drive, which is also one of the features (or lack of) that separate it from the MacBook Pro lines. Well, it looks like Apple has found a way to make the MacBook Pro without sacrificing its functionality. According to a recently discovered patent, Apple […]
10/21/2011, We do know that there were whispers of updated MacBook Pros coming your way in the near future, but those were hardly loud enough to warrant a stronger statement. I suppose all that is moot now, since the latest rumor making its rounds would send a whoop of joy to your Apple loving heart and a groan to your wallet – it seems that the new MacBook Pros will be […]
10/17/2011, It is really interesting to see how ordinary folks are able to spot unusual changes, even minor ones, on a website with amazing regularity these days. Case in point, there were whispers of Cupertino working on a refresh of their MacBook Pro range in due time which would see the inclusion of improved Bluetooth wireless networking as well as minor processor upgrades, but here is far more solid evidence – […]
10/13/2011, Apple has given their nod that they are well aware of the Black Screen of Death bug that plagues some models of the MacBook Pro from the 2010 range, although a fix is in the works, it might still take some time before it makes it to the masses. After all, this might very well be hardware related or firmware related, it is rather hard to tell at the moment.
10/10/2011, The world first learnt of a 3G MacBook Pro prototype in August earlier this year where it was spotted on eBay, subsequently pulled off and finding its way back to the Apple headquarters in Cupertino. I guess that is only fitting, and the person wasn’t as tough as Brian Lam of Gizmodo when he was personally contacted by Steve Jobs to return the lost iPhone 4 prototype that was lost […]
09/13/2011, It looks like we’re going to see some new MacBook Pro notebooks very soon. According to a report from Apple Insider, a highly trusted source with insight into Apple’s future product plans told them that the fruity company has a MacBook Pro refresh in store for us – and they are slated to arrive in stores before the end of the month. However, as the name implies, the refreshed notebooks […]
08/31/2011, Apple, the most valuable company on earth, will soon be reunited with its prodigal child – a 3G MacBook Pro prototype that somehow found its way to Carl Frega of North Carolina’s hands. It is interesting to take note that Carl did place this particular prototype on eBay for a rather ridiculous $70,000 plus auction which obviously, no one had the pockets deep enough to meet that bid. Basically, this […]
08/22/2011, A while back there were rumors that Apple had plans to launch a brand new Mac, which some had speculated that perhaps it might be an ultra-thin 15” MacBook. As to whether it would be a 15” MacBook Air or perhaps a replacement for the 15” MacBook Pro is still unknown, but it seems that there are new rumors by macotakara.jp who claims that Apple has plans to launch a […]
08/17/2011, A few days ago we covered the prototype 3G MacBook Pro that was put up for auction on eBay well it turns out that the seller who got his/her hands on the machine didn’t manage to sell it, despite bids for the laptop climbing up to at least $70,000. Apparently Apple managed to stop the auction before any selling could take place, which verifies the legitimacy of the computer.
