11/30/2011, So Google Maps recently received an update that brought it up to version 6.0. With this update came with the ability for Google Maps to work indoors by bringing indoor maps to the user, allowing them to navigate within a shopping mall. Not to be outdone, it appears that Nokia has something similar in the works except instead of a floor layout, their maps will be in 3D.
11/29/2011, Remember a couple of weeks ago, I wrote about the Nokia Lumia event that Microsoft and Nokia were going to host to promote Windows Phone devices? Well, the event took place yesterday night and according to reports, it was one impressive show. I’m not sure if it convinced anybody to pick up a Nokia Lumia device, but it definitely a marvelous spectacle to enjoy. The Millbank Tower was lit up […]
11/29/2011, If there’s one thing that the Nokia N900 has in common with the HTC HD2 – it’s the ability to run many different operating systems. And joining the ranks of the HD2, the Nokia N900 now runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich. However it’s worth noting that the build of the ROM is far from complete, and is running extremely sluggishly on the device. Then again, it is labeled “pre-pre-alpha” so […]
11/25/2011, The Nokia Lumia 800 might just kick start Nokia’s revival in the world of smartphones, and at least it proved to be a larger success than the MeeGo-powered Nokia N9, sporting clean design cues as well as an operating system which is clearly catching up with the Android and iOS platforms, although it is still some ways off from being super popular. The battery life of the Nokia Lumia 800 […]
11/22/2011, I guess that a telepathy phone is as close as it can get to being a telepath like Professor X, although you will still need to rely on hardware to get your message across instead of directly accessing the mind of another person and reading his or her thoughts, while communicating without having to move your lips – but rather, send messages through your brain to another. Scientists over at […]
11/21/2011, One of the exclusive features that Nokia Window Phone devices have over other competing Windows Phone devices is its Nokia Drive app. The app is Nokia’s 3D satellite navigation system that allows for the user to download maps and store it for future use. However despite the ability to download maps, it would imply that it could be used for offline purposes, right? Wrong. It seems that while maps can […]
11/21/2011, It appears that the good folks down at PocketNow have managed to get their hands on what appears to be the Nokia Lumia 601. If you’re wondering why the image above looks so familiar, it’s because it’s the same image that popped up in a Nokia ad not too long ago. The phone in that ad was thought to be the Nokia 900, but PocketNow is saying that it is […]
11/21/2011, If there was ever a good reason to get a Nokia Windows Phone, as opposed to HTC or Samsung, it would be because Nokia Windows Phone devices will come with Nokia Drive preinstalled. This was supposed to be an exclusive feature for Nokia’s handsets to help set them apart from the competition and encourage adoption, but alas that does not seem to be the case as the Nokia Drive XAP […]

11/17/2011, Sorry guys and girls – if you were one of those who were extremely excited by yesterday’s news that a playable version of Snake which appeared over at MSN’s homepage might actually be a precursor of things to come – a relaunch of the game Snake in particular, in new Windows Phone-powered handsets from Nokia, then you will be sorely disappointed as Nokia came up with an official statement to […]
11/16/2011, While we usually don’t pay too much attention to phone renders that are spotted in video clips – most of the time they are prototypes and inaccurate representations of the final devices unless they’ve been announced before.
