Palm rolls out webOS 1.3.1 update for Europe
Posted on November 23, 2009 3:32 AM

Folks living in Europe and are rocking to the Palm Pre GSM version can now update their firmware to webOS 1.3.1, where features such as support for LinkedIn and Yahoo! will now appear as a calendar/contacts/IM account (similar to that of Google and Facebook). Apart from that, this firmware update will also make it possible to forward text and multimedia messages. The update weighs in at 134MB, where you can download it over the air or through Wi-Fi. Make sure you back up all your information beforehand though as you never know when Murphy might strike.
Palm Pre With GSM SIM Card

The Palm Pre is currently available for CDMA networks only, so that means other parts of the world that run on GSM will have to wait a fair bit before it arrives in the GSM-compatible format. We're guessing that there isn't much more to wait since a GSM-enabled Palm Pre was spotted in the wild in Vietnam. Guess we're looking at a GSM Pre launch sometime before the year is over, and hopefully the price would've come down by then.
