08/08/2011, It appears that being a multi-billion dollar company just opens up the door for lawsuits with just about everyone under the sun claiming you violated on their intellectual property. While we cannot say for sure who’s in the wrong here, it appears that Apple is facing a lawsuit brought on by Operating Systems Solutions who claims that the speedy startup time for Mac OS X violated one of their patents.
08/04/2011, While patent infringement lawsuits aren’t new, the intensity and frequency seems to have increased in the past couple of years. Now it appears that Nokia is suing a Shanghai-based company, Huaqin Telecom Technology Co. Ltd, for apparently infringing upon on of their patents.
08/03/2011, With the Apple vs Samsung legal battle going on, you may have forgotten about Kodak’s very own legal battle against Apple and Research In Motion (RIM). For those who may have forgotten, early last year Kodak sued Apple along with RIM for infringing on their image-previewing patent. Apparently the cost of an ongoing lawsuit can be quite expensive as Kodak has expressed interest in raising cash as their patent litigation […]

07/19/2011, Earlier on today we had reported on an Apple Smart Cover lookalike for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 by the company Anymode. 02/11/2010, Nowadays it’s rare to see a day go by where some big company isn’t being sued for patent infringement or something along those lines. Now it seems that Emblaze, the folks behind the Else, which was on display at CES 2010, have served both Microsoft and Apple with a lawsuit, claiming that both companies infringe on its patent. Apparently the company isn’t happy with Microsoft’s Silverlight Smooth Streaming and Apple’s […]
01/20/2010, TiVo might have quite a battle on its hands, as Microsoft has sued TiVo over an alleged patent infringement in its DVRs. If this goes Microsoft’s way, it would effectively block TiVo from selling DVRs without a licensing deal. This suit is similar to AT&T’s lawsuit against TiVo, claiming that […]
