Appstand offers picture frame solution for iPhone

The iPhone is a handset that is pretty nice to look at all by itself, but what happens when you decide to turn it into your own digital picture frame? That can be accomplished with the Appstand, where $20 will do just that. All you need to do is start the slideshow application, place your iPHone within and you're good to go. It won't block your microphone or speaker, while the integrated cable management comes in handy so that you won't end up with a tangled mess.

Sony Digital Frame with built-in printer

This Sony DPP-F700 digital frame has a built-in color that can output 6x4", 300dpi photos in just 45 seconds. The main display is a 7" LCD screen with a 800x480 resolution. It's not a touch display, but the buttons on the right side of the frame will let you edit photos and do basic corrections before printing. The photos can come from flashcards (SD, CF, Memory Stick...) or via USB, from a PC.

I've never felt the “urge” to print something while I was looking at my Sony DPF-D80 photo frame, but may be someone out there did. Right now, it seems like it solves a problem that doesn't exist. Maybe re-branding it as a fancy portable printer would make more sense. Either way, what do you think?
