11/16/2009, We got our Palm Pixi, but if you are shopping for one, Wirefly has told us that they are selling it for $24.99, with a new contract of course. That’s a little cheaper than Walmart ($29.99) and much cheaper than Sprint itself ($99). Our full review is coming but we want to play with it for a while first. In the meantime, don’t miss our complete Nokia N900 review, Motorola […]
11/15/2009, Prefer the candybar design of the Palm Pixi over the slider form factor of the Palm Pre? Well, the Palm Pixi is now being offered by Sprint, and it’s going for $99.99 together with a 2-year contract, after a $100 mail-in rebate. Of course, if you’re patient and not rushing to get the phone today, you could always get the Pixi from Wirefly for just $24.99.
11/12/2009, The Palm Pixi, when priced at $100, isn’t exactly that enticing when pitted against its larger sibling known as the Pre, but Walmart clearly does the handset justice with a $30 price point for the Palm Pixi via its LetsTalk. This instant discount ought to get those sitting on the fence to make a decision quickly.
11/12/2009, Adobe has announced that Flash 10.1 will be available for the Palm WebOS platform from the first half of 2010 onwards, which is better late than never. At least it will be earlier (at press time anyways) compared to Apple iPhone users who still cannot experience such a benefit. While this applies to only the Pre and Pixi, it remains to be seen whether there will be other WebOS devices […]
11/10/2009, Sprint will be launching the Palm Pixi in 5 days’ time, and someone managed to catch an image of the handset running webOS 1.3.1 alongside what is deemed to be a rather frisky user interface. While the video failed to show off the new features that will be making its way to 1.3.1, it is still interesting to know that 1.3.1 is very real and ready to roll.
10/26/2009, If you’re on the prowl for a Palm Pixi, do mark November 15th on your calendar as that is the day when it will arrive on the Sprint network. Retailing for $99.99 with a 2-year contract, you will first need to send in a $100 mail-in rebate while taking advantage of the $50 instant rebate. This will be the second Palm webOS-powered device in the market, where features include linked […]
10/07/2009, A Vietnamese site managed to get a hold of a GSM prototype of the Palm Pixi, which means it can be used in other carriers apart from Sprint in the US. The device looks identical from the outside, but it might experience a slash in internal storage space of just 4GB compared to the original 8GB in the US-bound model. Apart from that, the GPS navigation system and 2-megapixel camera […]
10/02/2009, Mark October 20th on your calendars if you are waiting for the Palm Pixi device as that is apparently the release date specified by Sprint as well as Best Buy. Still, the Palm Pixi isn’t as powerful as the Pre, and has a lot of work to do if it were to expand Palm’s market share when it comes to smartphones with the presence of other goliaths in the scene […]
09/08/2009, Palm has officially announced the Palm Pixi on their Facebook page and on palm.com. The Pixi seems like a mass market phone that has many of the attributes of its older sibling, the Palm Pre. Here are the highlights: 320×400 display, 2.63″ Exchange support GPS 8GB of storage 3.5mm Jack Web OS Clearly, there’s enough to make a lot of people happy. Now the real question is: how much will […]
