09/26/2011, It looks like last week’s news about the announcement turned out to be true. Today, T-Mobile has given a release date for one of the most anticipated Android phones arriving on the network: the Samsung Galaxy S2. Already out on Sprint’s network and coming soon for AT&T, we finally have a release date for T-Mobile’s version. T-Mobile’s Galaxy S2 will feature a 4.52″ Super AMOLED Plus display, a 1.5GHz dual-core […]
09/26/2011, For those looking forward to the Windows Phone 7.5 handset, the Samsung Focus S, so far there has only been details about the device, and lately a trip to the FCC only showed us an outline drawing of what the device may look like. Then again with most phones being rectangular in shape, the FCC drawing left a lot to the imagination, but now it appears that a photo of […]
09/26/2011, A few days ago we reported that Samsung was reported to have requested for a ban of the iPhone and 3G iPad in the Netherlands, claiming that Apple had infringed upon their patents which included a form of wireless technology used for 3G communications, which explains why the WiFi-only iPad was left untouched. In our report we stated that Apple had scheduled a meeting with Samsung on Monday in order […]
09/26/2011, We know that Samsung’s Galaxy S2 is doing gangbusters at the moment, having sold more than 10 million units worldwide with no signs of stopping, but those living in South Korea are already treated to something better – the LTE-enabled versions of the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy S2 HD. Yes sir, this is South Korea’s first LTE 4G LTE smartphones, running on a dual-core 1.5GHz processor with a Super […]
09/26/2011, I must say that Italy’s Prime Minister is quite the player, and it is amazing how he can still run the country with so many things going on in his personal life. Well, word has it that no matter where Italy’s economy is headed, it should still be doing well enough to welcome the new Samsung Omnia W smartphone at the end of October. Expect to make the most of […]
09/26/2011, Apple has certainly inflicted a few notable blows towards Samsung by getting injunctions against the South Korean conglomerate that prevents them from selling their tablets and smartphones in certain countries around the world, and even in Australia, Samsung will still need to wait until the end of the month before the judge decides on whether Apple Inc.’s patent-infringement claims have any basis to them to warrant a sales ban.
09/25/2011, SAM Firmware alongside some of those who were involved in the DarkyROM have stepped forward with a rather interesting titbit of news – we’re talking about a leaked version of Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread that sports a build date of September 15th, and this particular ROM is meant for the Samsung Galaxy S2. Interestingly enough, most of the Galaxy S2 units out there, if not all, still run on Android 2.3.3 […]
09/25/2011, Just to prove a point that not everyone on this planet is waiting for the iPhone 5 which is slated to arrive early next month, here is news that Samsung’s Galaxy S2 has already broken the 10 million mark in terms of global sales. Of course, haters would say that this is because the new Galaxy S2 owners have not given the iPhone a chance, but that’s another story for […]
09/23/2011, We had only just reported that Samsung had plans to take a more aggressive approach to the ongoing legal battles with Apple, and true to their word Samsung has recently launched an offensive against Apple in the Netherlands where they are seeking the ban of Apple’s smartphones and tablets.
09/23/2011, If you’ve been following the saga of Apple vs Samsung, it would appear that so far Apple has been the one throwing punches while Samsung sits there and takes them, appealing injunction after the other. All things considered, from an outsider’s perspective it does make Apple look like a bully, but it looks like Samsung has had enough and plans to get aggressive.
09/23/2011, Last week we reported that Sprint’s version of the Samsung Galaxy S2, the Epic 4G Touch, had its source code released pretty much on the same day that the device was released, and only a few days later we saw the device get rooted. The good news for developers not using Sprint’s Epic 4G Touch is that even before the device has been released, AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy S2’s source code […]
09/22/2011, The Samsung Galaxy S2 has been released on Sprint and announced for AT&T, which means that only T-Mobile’s variant of the Android phone is the only one that’s missing (Verizon won’t be carrying it). Well, for folks who’ve been waiting for the phone to arrive, the wait is almost over. Earlier last month when Samsung unveiled all three US versions of the Galaxy S2, T-Mobile didn’t give a release date […]
09/22/2011, Despite being accidentally given to a Best Buy customer this week, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 isn’t available to the public yet. Well, the folks over at netbooknews.com managed to pick up one of these Android tablets from Taiwan and have performed the inaugural ceremony for the public by posting an unboxing video of the tablet online. For those of you who have been waiting to get your hands on one, […]
09/22/2011, Apple’s relationship with Samsung is far from good. Prior to the recent wave of lawsuits and injunctions, Apple and Samsung enjoyed a relationship that made Apple Samsung’s biggest customer. Apple has ordered a range of components from Samsung, such as LCD displays for their iPads, A4/A5 chipsets for the iPhone and iPad and also memory that is being used in their Mac computers.
