Vodafone UK to roll out Sony Ericsson X10

Vodafone UK ought to get itself a new set of subscribers pretty soon, where most of them would probably be hankering after the Sony Ericsson X10. This is their first Android smartphone, where it will roll out with Android 1.6 (Donut) while being accompanied by a generous 4.0" WVGA (480x854) scratch-resistant capacitive screen, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 8.1-megapixel camera, and support for a slew of typical Android Google Mobile apps. Expect this handset to hit the market later this April, pricing details have yet to be revealed but we hope to get some skinny on that matter in due time.

Sony Ericsson Recall could hit MWC 2010

We'll be at MWC 2010 in Barcelona next month, and we do hope that whispers of the Sony Ericsson Recall is true as this is touted to be the smaller version of the Xperia X10. Apart from that, there is also another Sony Ericsson handset rumored to be announced there - Abelin. The Abelin could very well be the X9, and word has it the Sony Ericsson Abelin will come with a QWERTY keyboard and a 5-megapixel camera. There are still no blurry spy images or leaked shots of either phone, but rest assured that MWC 2010 will be chock full of news and updates!

FCC passes Sony Ericsson U5i

Looks like the FCC has decided that a relatively unknown handset from Sony Ericsson known as the U5i has passed their stringent tests, which is a relatively low-to-mid range handset as it features 640 x 360 resolution on its touchscreen display and a 2-megapixel camera running on the Symbian operating system. While we know that the U5 is also known as the Kurara and will come with an 8-megapixel camera, it just stumps us as to the lack of further information on the U5i. Hopefully Sony Ericsson will unveil more pieces to the puzzle at the upcoming CES 2010 or MWC.

Sony Ericsson X10 could arrive on AT&T

Fresh from news that the Sony Ericsson X10 will most probably arrive on T-Mobile networks, here is the FCC approval that shows off WCDMA 850/1900 bands which accompany quadband EDGE, making subscribers to AT&T, Rogers, Bell or Telus networks happy with such news that their carriers might want to carry the phone in the near future. Well, no better time than now to start saving, eh?

Sony Ericsson Susan spotted

The Sony Ericsson Susan, also known as the J10, has appeared yet again, adding fuel to its last rumors that this is an environmentally friendly phone. Word also has it that this is an Android-powered device, although it will also come with Wi-Fi connectivity alongside a 5-megapixel camera with flash. If the rumors are true, could this be part of the Greenheart technology that Sony Ericsson has been going on and about some time ago?

Sony Ericsson Satio

Sony Ericsson's Satio is nearly completed and ready to be released to the masses, with its main focus being the 12.1-megapixel camera - touted to be the sharpest ever for cellphones, at least for a while. It comes with a touch focusing system that centers on the image area selected on-screen by the user. The inclusion of Xenon flash and unique software allows you to dub your own self-styled commentary on photo slideshows, giving it a unique streak compared to other cellphones. It will be powered by the Symbian operating system, featuring customized clients for Facebook and YouTube. Similar to the Aino, the Satio features 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, and a microSDHC memory card slot, where it is slated for an early fall release. [Press Release]

Sony Ericsson Aino

Sony Ericsson Aino

Sony Ericsson isn't about to throw in the towel where cellphones are concerned, and they have underlined their intent of staying in the game with the Aino - the first touchscreen slider from Sony Ericsson that stores a number pad and navigation keys right under its 3" display. In addition, it is also the first (and surely not the last) handset from Sony Ericsson that boasts tight integration with the PlayStation 3, allowing one to use the Remote Play feature in order to groove to music or watch shows from the console despite being far away from home. Other features include an 8.1-megapixel camera with flash and image stabilization, 3G connectivity and assisted GPS to help you get around. Nice to see the Memory Stick format ditched in favor of microSDHC this time round. The Sony Ericsson Aino is tipped to ship this fall for a yet undisclosed price. [Press Release]
