04/17/2013, It seems that following the passing of Apple’s co-founder, Steve Jobs, several movies about Jobs and Apple have started to surface, such as the one starring Ashton Kutcher, and another which is being written by Aaron Sorkin. While both of those movies have yet to be released, Funny Or Die’s own Steve Jobs movie, “iSteve”, has made its debut and is now available to watch online for free! The movie […]
04/15/2013, Steve Jobs believed that innovation was fostered by hiring the right people and not by how many R&D dollars the company had. He made comparisons between Apple and IBM, when the original Mac came out IBM was spending a lot more on R&D, but the Mac held its ground firmly because it was a good product. Apple is certainly living by that motto, hiring the right people, but the right […]
04/11/2013, Steve Jobs has always been fascinating as a figure. Various stories about his presentation style and how he worked have been widely reported and read. For some, who have merely scratched the surface of his personality, Steve Jobs is only the visionary who made and then decades later turned Apple around. Jobs had a significant role in the formation of Pixar Animation Studios, it is no secret that he kept […]
04/01/2013, An interesting tidbit came our way just now. If we’re to believe Apple’s government liaison Michael Foulkes, then the next two iPhones have already been designed. He says that these designs preceded Tim Cook, meaning that they were designed under the legend himself, Steve Jobs. Steve passed away back in 2011, around the time the iPhone 4S was announced. The revelation comes from San Francisco DA George Gascón, who has been meeting […]
03/18/2013, Steve Jobs’ Biopic, simply called “Jobs,” was expected to be released on April 19 to celebrate the 37th anniversary of the founding of Apple Computer. Unfortunately, it looks like the movie won’t be released when it was originally intended to as Open Road Films has delayed the film’s release. Open Road Films has yet to confirm a new date for Jobs to be released saying they wanted to have more time […]
03/12/2013, While the world waits for the official release of Steve Jobs’ upcoming biopic starring Ashton Kutcher called jOBS, his life story will also be receiving the manga treatment in Japan in Kiss magazine, which is a publication specifically for women. Artist Mari Yamazaki has been chosen to illustrate Jobs in the officially licensed manga as she feels “sympathy for Jobs” as well as for her realistic and charming painting style. […]
01/29/2013, Last week, we caught a glimpse of Ashton Kutcher playing Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic, jOBS. Judging by his performance, we though Kutcher stuck on a beard, studied Jobs’ mannerisms and performed his best impersonation Apple’s most iconic CEO. It turns out Kutcher did a little bit more to prepare for his role as Steve Jobs as Kutcher followed Jobs’ fruitarian diet, and ended up hospitalized due to it. Speaking with […]
01/24/2013, When Ashton Kutcher was announced to be the lead actor in Steve Jobs’ biopic “jOBS,” we were a little hesitant about his ability to capture Steve Jobs’ essence for the film. When you consider the majority of his acting career was spent as a dimwitted teenager on That 70s Show, you could probably understand why we weren’t entirely sure of Kutcher’s ability to perform as Steve Jobs.
01/09/2013, It’s been over a year since Steve Jobs’ passing which sparked many Apple Stores around the world to be instant memorials as people made trips to their local stores in order to show their condolences. Memorials for Jobs still seem to be popping up, the latest one being located in St. Petersburg, Russia. A six-foot tall interactive monument shaped like an iPhone 5 is being used to display photos and […]
01/04/2013, We already know that there are two Steve Jobs biopics coming. One is from Sony Pictures, and Aaron Sorkin has been tapped to write the script. Tom Ortenber, the CEO of Open Road Films, together with Five Star Feature Films CEO Mark Hulme, announced […]
12/26/2012, Now here’s something you don’t see everyday. If you’ve been dying to see Steve Jobs’s muti-million dollar yacht from up close, an Amsterdam-based investor named Michiel Frackers was able to shoot a video of the techie ”Venus” docked in a desolate area of the Amsterdam harbor this month. Frackers has just posted the video on YouTube for everyone to see.
12/25/2012, It was just last week when we said that Steve Jobs’s yacht named “Venus” was impounded in Amsterdam because of some money matters that have yet to be settled between Steve Jobs and designer Philippe Starck. Well, after hitting the headlines, Steve Jobs’s estate has paid a deposit to Starck on Monday to settle the dispute. Hague lawyer Gerard Moussault told AFP on Monday that “Venus” is no longer impounded […]
12/21/2012, One of the last projects Steve Jobs worked on before his passing was an 80-meter yacht that was co-designed by renowned designer Philippe Starck. Steve Jobs somehow knew that he will never live to see the completion of the yacht. The yacht, dubbed as Venus, was eventually finished in October this year. It was built by the Dutch company Feadship. If you’re wondering where the yacht is right now, the […]
11/06/2012, Great people will always be remembered. That is why Pixar is naming its main studio after the legendary Apple co-founder Steve Jobs. As you know, Jobs was instrumental in the growth of the computer animation studio. “He financed the work at the studio long before it became profitable, pouring millions of his own money into keeping Pixar afloat because he believed in the work of the employees,” writes the Pixar […]
