09/23/2011, While we know that Sprint isn’t too fond of AT&T’s plans to acquire T-Mobile, it looks like the carrier doesn’t mind merging with T-Mobile itself. On Wednesday, Sprint’s CEO was reported as making some interesting comments at an investor conference that suggested he had given it some thought. While he made it clear he was being hypothetical when speaking, he noted that antitrust regulators would approve a Sprint-T-Mobile merger, and […]
09/22/2011, The Samsung Galaxy S2 has been released on Sprint and announced for AT&T, which means that only T-Mobile’s variant of the Android phone is the only one that’s missing (Verizon won’t be carrying it). Well, for folks who’ve been waiting for the phone to arrive, the wait is almost over. Earlier last month when Samsung unveiled all three US versions of the Galaxy S2, T-Mobile didn’t give a release date […]
09/22/2011, So we know that Windows Phone’s Mango update is expected to roll out in a week or two, although we’re guessing that not all handsets will be able to get it immediately, and there’s also the issue with waiting for carriers to roll out the update as well. The good news for Dell users who own the Dell Venue Pro smartphone is that if you happen to own an unlocked […]
09/22/2011, The AT&T and T-Mobile merger is certainly not looking well at the moment. It seems that there are many who do not wish to see the merger go through, among them being Sprint and Cellular South and even the Department of Justice, with all three tossing lawsuits AT&T’s way in order to prevent the merger from happening. Understandably Sprint and Cellular South, both carriers, do not want to see it […]
09/22/2011, The Windows Phone platform is alive and kicking, and with more and more phones ready to be announced in conjunction with the highly anticipated Windows Phone Mango update that is happening in a couple of weeks’ time, someone managed to catch a glimpse of the T-Mobile branded HTC Radar 4G, with the signature branding, boot screen, TV app and “About” screen giving the game away. Nice to know that the […]
09/21/2011, It’s been awhile since we’ve heard anything about the HTC Ruby, and it looks like the Android phone might be close to an official unveiling. Pocketnow has yet again managed to get their hands on the press shot of the phone, giving us a clearer look at the phone. Destined to arrive on T-Mobile’s network, the HTC Ruby packs some pretty good specs that will no doubt pique the interest […]
09/21/2011, A couple of days ago we mentioned that there were reports of the pamphlets for the Blackberry Curve 9360 starting to appear in T-Mobile stores. For those unfamiliar, the device originally had a rumored release date on the 14th of September, but given how we’re here talking about it, it looks like those rumors did not pan out after all.
09/21/2011, Before Google Wallet was even announced, back in 2010 Isis had announced plans to launch mobile payment services together with three of the nation’s largest carriers – AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon. Oddly enough Sprint was not part of the partnership, although it was later revealed that Sprint had joined up with Google for Google Wallet, which was announced several months back.
09/20/2011, One of the rumors surrounding Apple’s next-generation iPhone is that it will sport both GSM and CDMA radios in one device, which means technically the iPhone 4S/5 should be able to run on just about any carrier around the world, making it a “world phone”. AT&T and Verizon have both been carrying the iPhone 4, and there have been rumors that Sprint will be one of the carriers to sport […]
09/20/2011, It looks like we have another member to add to the Department of Justice’s growing army of supporters against the AT&T-T-Mobile merger. Cellular South, one of the smaller carriers in the country has expressed its displeasure against the proposed acquisition by filing a complaint against AT&T in federal court Washington yesterday. I guess nobody bought into AT&T’s plans of selling off its assets to smaller carriers so there won’t be […]
09/19/2011, If you have been eagerly waiting for the Blackberry Curve 9360, you were probably a bit disappointed when the rumored 14th of September release came by and went without any incident. The somewhat good news for those who have been meaning to get their hands on the Curve 9360 is that pamphlets for the device have started showing up at T-Mobile retail stores, and what this could imply is that […]
09/19/2011, While the merger of AT&T and T-Mobile benefits both companies the most, and even though on paper they claim that it will benefit the rest of the country, not many are convinced, especially with the DoJ launching a lawsuit in an attempt to stop the merger and lately with seven states coming forward and opposing the merger as well.
09/16/2011, Bad news for AT&T and those in favor of the carrier’s attempted acquisition of T-Mobile. It looks like the Department of Justice has garnered more troops in support of opposing the merger. It has been reported that seven states will be backing the Department of Justice’s lawsuit against AT&T. The seven states against the merger are: New York, Washington, California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Ohio and Pennsylvania. With over a third of […]
09/15/2011, It seems that T-Mobile has just uploaded several new videos to their T-Mobile USA account, but it appears that they have been marked as private. Based on the file names, AndroidGuys suspect that there will be two devices, as pictured above, both identical on the surface but with one featuring a full touch screen while the other will sport an additional slideout QWERTY keyboard.
