It is a tablet based on a metal-design that has the particularity of docking to a very thin (optional) keyboard dock that turns it into a small instant-on Android laptop, hence the name “Transformer”. The concept was introduced with the first Eee Transformer. The Transformer Prime is powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 SoC and has ample room for storage expansion with a microSDXC built-in port, and the keyboard’s SDXC port.
