02/08/2012, HTC is first off the blocks in Europe with the HTC Velocity, touted to be the first 4G LTE Android-powered smartphone to appear on the shores of our neighbors across the pond. Vodafone Germany has plans to roll out the HTC Velocity sometime in the near future, and just in case you were wondering why the HTC Velocity looked so similar, as though you have seen it somewhere before, that […]
10/11/2011, With the iPhone 4S hitting over 1 million pre-orders on its first day, and shattering the iPhone 4’s record of 600,000, it is looking like the iPhone 4S is turning out to be quite the popular device after all, despite the lukewarm reception that it received when it was first announced. Despite the popularity evidenced by its pre-order sales, Vodafone in the UK has decided to help its popularity along […]
10/03/2011, Given that Apple’s iPhone event is a little more than 24 hours away, it looks like maybe some carriers have gotten ahead of themselves and have either anticipated what Apple may be announcing, or they might have let the cat out of the bag a little too early.
09/29/2011, If you’re living in Germany and are rather disappointed that you cannot get hold of a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in that part of the world simply because Apple’s legal eagles have filed an injunction to the courts to ban the sales of said tablet there, fret not. There are still other alternatives out there (which Apple probably hopes will steer you towards their very own iPad 2), and Vodafone […]
09/26/2011, It is without doubt that the iPhone 5 is one of the most rumored, talked about, hyped up and highly anticipated handset to be coming out this year. This is natural given Apple’s trademark secrecy, allowing for little to no leaks at all, which leaves everyone in the tech world speculating to no end about what the device could be about. This is why when Vodafone Australia released the teaser […]
09/23/2011, Now here is something that you do not read every single day – we’re talking about cows, actual bovines, that managed to disrupt phone coverage in a rural county in the UK. Vodafone is the mobile provider of that area (West Cumbria), and users there have been left hanging high and dry without a signal for weeks due to a herd of rather peckish cows. These cows apparently broke through […]
09/14/2011, It is safe to assume that the majority of Windows Phone users out there have been waiting for the Mango update for a long, long time ever since they caught whiff of it. Well, hold your breath just for a little bit longer as Vodafone Australia has just announced that they have finished work on the Mango update for the HTC Trophy, and has set out to give it its […]
09/11/2011, According to Vodafone, the much anticipated Apple iPhone 5 will set to arrive in a couple of capacities to suit your needs (mostly budget, I believe) – where they will sing to the tune of 16GB and 32GB. The UK carrier’s product listing on their website also held implications that you can choose from black and white colors, alongside the familiar 16GB and 32GB capacities that iPhone users have been […]
09/07/2011, The speeds from Verizon’s 4G LTE connectivity while pretty darn fast, is unfortunately limited to domestic usage. While this may be just fine for users who don’t travel often or have no use for data roaming while overseas, it is still an obstacle that Verizon (and other 4G LTE providers) will have to address in the future as 4G LTE becomes more and more widespread.
08/22/2011, If you happen to be a Vodafone subscriber in Europe who are rocking to an Android-powered smartphone, then you are in for a surprise – the carrier will allow you to pay for your apps purchased over at the Android Market via your phone bill. This is the latest move in a game of ‘tactical chess’ with Apple’s App Store by Google, hoping that such a business model might just […]
08/11/2011, Looking forward to a new Android handset from LG? It looks like the folks over at BestBoyZ have managed to get their hands on an upcoming LG device that’s been named the Optimus Sol (E730). Originally codenamed “Victor”, the Android smartphone is said to be a mid-range device, and will be launched for Vodafone which means we won’t be seeing it on our shores, but if we do it’ll probably […]
07/28/2011, Vodafone has just launched a new phone in the UK and it’s not the typical phone we’ve come to expect. This time it’s a feature phone that features heavy Facebook integration – and by heavy we mean heavy. On the surface it looks a lot like the HTC ChaCha – a candy bar shaped phone that features a dedicated Facebook button. Except in this phone, known as the Blue 555, […]
05/27/2011, Emporia and Vodafone have just announced the release of a stylish-looking feature phone that’s meant to be the “most straightforward mobile phone in the world” – which is possible, considering how incredibly complex most devices are nowadays, (though I refuse to believe any phone could be as simple as this but I digress.) The RL1 lets you text, make calls, store numbers, set alarms, birthday reminders, and solve your mathematical […]
05/26/2011, It looks like Vodafone really is working hard to get its brand out there. Earlier this month, we reported that they would be equipping over 500 taxis with mobile phone chargers for people always on the go and need their devices to stay juiced. Now they’ve just announced another mobile charger. This time it’s no cab, but big red truck. A really big red truck. Called the Vodafone VIP recharging […]
