02/24/2012, Ladies, if you were looking for a watch that was modern, trendy and somewhat feminine, this perhaps this Luna Petal concept by Nigel from Australia could be what you’re looking for. According to its designer, “I was trying to make create a watch that was quirky and but ultimately functional. Ideally for young women.”
02/20/2012, Are you a fan of designs that are futuristic and alien-like? The good news is that if you are, you might be interested in taking a look at the Artifact concept watch over at Tokyo Flash, which to be honest looks like it could have very well been taken out of the Predator movies.
02/15/2012, Our watches have managed to evolve from being mere time pieces to being fashion statements. If sci-fi is your thing, or maybe you have a rave party you intend to attend, then the V-BL47 LED/LCD watch concept could be a watch you wish was actually real.
02/14/2012, We’re not sure what defines a “manly” watch, but if you’re a fan of the sleek and minimalist, designer Adrián Castro may have something for you in the form of the Lepidus collection, a series of watches that has been touted to be designed with the modern man in mind. At the moment they are merely concepts but looking at the renderings, we can’t help but hope they will eventually […]
11/17/2011, If you love watches, then you might be interested in checking out this concept watch by Art Lebedev Studio. Dubbed the Integralus Digital Watch, it will feature two segments – one that displays the hour and the other half that displays the minutes. Each will run on its own battery, so should one battery die, you will at the very least be able to tell the hours/minutes.
11/09/2011, Fans of the classic game Pac Man will probably wish that they can get their hands on this concept watch by Benedetto Papi. Dubbed the “Pac-in-time” watch, as you can see, the face of the watch greatly resembles Pac man.
11/01/2011, Cadence knows that there won’t be that many more Binary Days left in this year’s calendar, so they want to make the most of today’s Binary Day by announcing their Fall lineup of 4-bit watches. Of course, 4-bit sounds a whole lot more respectful than 2-bit, since most detractors would probably laugh at your timepiece by calling it a 2-bit watch that has double meaning, depending on whether you’re a […]
10/04/2011, Are you a sporty person? If you are, then monitoring devices that let you know how far you’ve run, how fast you’ve run, what’s your heart rate and how many calories you’ve burned are probably vital. If you think you’re in need of such a device, Garmin has recently outed the Forerunner 910XT multisport watch.
10/04/2011, Notice anything particular about the watch above? If you said the missing number “12”, you’d be right. In fact, in place of the “12” lies a camera, which means that if you enjoy taking photos discretely or would love to know what playing a spy feels like, Thanko’s Slim 720p DVR watch could be just what you need.
09/29/2011, Watches with touch screens aren’t exactly new. There have been concepts drawn up in the past, and even the latest iPod Nano can double up as a watch with touch screen capabilities, but now it looks like Swatch, the popular watchmaker, has hopped aboard the bandwagon and officially announced their Swatch Touch series of watches. Doing away with traditional buttons, the Swatch Touch will instead feature a touch screen LCD […]
07/22/2011, When it comes to watches, the last thing that the majority of us look for would be whether the watch is biodegradable or not. In fact, when it comes to choosing a watch, we typically go for durability and longevity, with some watches that have managed to span several generations, passed down from one generation to the next.
07/19/2011, The cool thing about TokyoFlash is that they help turn visions into reality, as far as watches are concerned. Basically fans or designers can submit watch ideas to the company and if the demand and love for it is there, they will turn it into an actual product. We have covered such a watch before with the TokoFlash Kisai Kaidoku watch that was originally a fan submitted design.
07/06/2011, You’ve got to love Tokyoflash watches for their unique designs and extremely confusing ways to tell the time, and this model is no different. The Tokyoflash watch named Kisai Kaidoku was a design that was submitted last year by Canadian Tynan Mayhew, but it is now available as we’re guessing Tokyoflash liked what they saw and decided to turn it into reality, which is something they have done in the […]
07/01/2011, We’re all for watches that look cool and are unique. In fact Tokyoflash has a couple of watches similar to Chinavasion’s Dark Armada watch, whereby attempting to figure out how to tell the time on it would require a Ph.D in maths. Okay maybe that was a bit exaggerated, but regardless, the way those watches have been designed make it quite tricky to tell the time, which may explain their […]
