06/08/2012, Last year during E3 when Nintendo revealed the Wii U console, Zelda was spotted on the console although it was never officially mentioned. Given that it’s been a year, many have figured that by this year’s E3, perhaps Nintendo might have something to demo but it did not appear to be the case. If you were disappointed by this, you shouldn’t be as according to the series’ creator, Shigeru Miyamoto, […]
04/19/2012, The iconic game known to all gamers young and old is the famous Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and calling it amazing is an understatement. There are some who even call it the greatest game ever. If you had to find something that lacked in the game, it would be difficult but composer Michael Moffit and animator Chris McGregor decided that it lacked – Broadway! Both of them collaborated […]
01/23/2012, Earlier today we gave you some impressive Street Fighter pixel art in Minecraft, but it looks like the bar has been taken up a notch. Some folks have managed to recreate the entire world from the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Hyrule, in the game. Called Hyrulecraft, it is supposed to be a 1:1 scale replica of the game world. Seeing how I’m not a giant Zelda fan, and […]
11/21/2011, If you held out from buying the Nintendo 3DS earlier this year due to the lack of games available, well you no longer need to anymore. In fact, Nintendo is encouraging you to pick up its latest console this holiday season. After the price cut a few months ago, the 3DS is now more appealing with Nintendo’s introduction of its two new limited-edition bundles that will go on sale this […]
09/20/2011, If modding is your thing, you may have come across our report yesterday where someone managed to get Nintendo Wii games up and running on their Android tablet. Now it looks like there’s another mod out there but this time it combines the Sony PSP together with the Nintendo GameCube, which the modder by the name of Ashen has decided to call the Fusion Micro.
05/25/2011, When it comes to video games, the manufacturers really know how to milk a franchise’s worth – short of coming out with quality sequels and beyond, there is also another strategy to open your purse strings willingly by tugging at your heart’s emotion, including rolling out special edition bundles that give you a picture of added perceived value compared to a standard offering. Enter The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of […]
05/03/2011, Forget everything you think you knew about The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. That game you played over ten years ago on the Nintendo 64? It will look and play differently on the new Nintendo 3DS with new 3D visuals. I’m not even joking. It heavily rumored that Nintendo will be releasing the new Zelda game with a very short initial run to prevent a repeat of the DS’s […]
04/19/2011, This is what I’m talking about. This is the type of game that Nintendo should have properly launched the Nintendo 3DS with. I said in my 3DS review that the handheld had a weak lineup of games and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D proves that the 3DS can produce great looking games. Take a look at the screenshot on the left. The top photo is of the […]
03/24/2011, If you’re too retro for playing old school games on a modern gaming console like the PSP or your cellphone, this portable NES console mod is just for you. A modder named Doug recently finished creating his own portable NES console, and it looks fantastic. Good thing for us, he detailed the whole process from the start to finish, so if you’re interested in building yourself a portable NES, you […]
12/27/2010, Minecraft has been the platform of some pretty amazing projects, where among them include a recreation of Bioshock’s Rapture to a life-sized Starship Enterprise. Well, how about bringing one of the all time video game greats to life in Minecraft? We’re talking about The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past, where it has been crafted in-game and entirely by hand without the help of any external tools – […]
05/18/2010, According to an interview with Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo is busy working on a new Legend of Zelda game. While that shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, considering the popularity of the series, Miyamoto did mention that they’re making the game easier to play, and they’re creating a new way to play the game. Apparently if they follow the current path, the game might not be able to offer […]
01/31/2010, Even after checking out the NES emulator for webOS, do you still think that the Palm Pre isn’t a good device to enjoy games on? Well, throw in the VisualBoyAdvance for webOS, and you might have to rethink your idea on the Palm Pre. VisualBoyAdvance (VBA) is an open source Gameboy, Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance emulator, and now it’s been ported to webOS. If you want proof that games […]
11/04/2009, We’re not sure why Nintendo likes giving us the snub, but it seems that folks who pick up the new Zelda game (Spirit Tracks) in Japan will be given a nice little transparent quill stylus for their loyalty, and we’re not talking about pre-ordering the game or something, just buying the game on launch day is enough. Hopefully Nintendo will do that same in the US, but somehow we’re skeptical.
11/04/2009, When the Wii was released, everybody envisioned amazing sword battles with their friends, but things didn’t get really cool until they released the MotionPlus add on for the Wiimote. Now it seems that the upcoming Zelda game will utilize the MotionPlus add on, giving users the potential for 1-to1 motion control, meaning we could probably have some really amazing sword fights. Apparently the MotionPlus will also be used to improve […]
