Sony intros new a DSLR-A200

Sony aims to break new ground in the digital SLR category for mainstream photographers by rolling out its new a (alpha) DSLR-A200 camera. The A200 will oust the Sony DSLR-A100 after the latter being on the market for over a year. Some of the A200’s upgraded features consist of :-

  • 2.7” Clear Photo LCD display
  • Accessible mode dial
  • Easy-to-use function menu
  • Improved noise control
  • Faster auto focus speed (1.7x compared to the A100)
  • Battery life indicator
  • Super SteadyShot image stabilizer
  • 10.2 megapixel APS CCD image sensor
  • Sony BIONZ processing engine
  • Support for JPEG and RAW file formats
  • CompactFlash Type I/II media card slot
  • Static-free anti-dust coating

Each $700 purchase of the DSLR-A200 will come with the camera body and a DT 18-70mm f3.5-5.6 3.9x zoom lens. Shipping commences this February, and you can place your pre-orders today.
