Pierre Cardin PC-729 tablet

Has the fake luxury fashion fever now reached the niche tablet market? Apparently so, with the introduction of the Pierre Cardin PC-729 tablet. Guess it would go down well if you’re wearing a Pierre Cardin belt to keep your oversized work pants from dropping down to the floor unintentionally. The PC-729 does not have an original to compare to, hence the relatively weak VIA C7-M 772 Esther 1.2GHz processor, a 7″ TFT LCD display at 800 x 480 resolution, 1GB RAM, a 16GB SSD, a trio of USB 2.0 ports, Wi-Fi connectivity, an integrated webcam and the Windows XP operating system. You will only get up to 2.5 hours of work time tops with the li-ion battery, making us wonder who would want to fork out $438 for this when you can get much better netbooks at that price point (sans touchscreen of course).
