Apple has patch to counter remote attack on iPhone and iPad

Apple already has a patch that will be able to counter the security flaw which makes it possible to remotely hack or jailbreak the operating system, which is iOS that is found on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. There is no word on when the patch will be released publicly though, making us wonder why that is the case – perhaps Apple will only bundle it with the next iOS update? We are pretty sure that this isn’t the last remote attack on the iOS, as there will always be people out there (for various reasons) who will have a crack at it. It is interesting to note that this remains as Apple’s problem since they went to extra lengths in order to hide technical details of iOS, letting only approved Web apps to work with it. This tight control made made it easier to keep iOS secure at first, but with such remote attacks possible, Apple might just have to share iOS codes with anti-virus firms just like how Microsoft, Google, Nokia and RIM have done and are doing.
