Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Goes Official On AT&T

It’s taken some time to arrive, but the patient folks are going to be rewarded as Sony Ericsson has just launched its Xperia X10 Android-powered phone in the US via AT&T. The device will be hitting AT&T on August 15th, will be bundled with a 2GB microSD card and will be going for $149.99 on a two-year contract. That being said, Sony is also offering the phone directly for just $129.99, while Amazon should be offering it soon for a discounted price too. The major downside of the X10 will be that it comes with Android 1.6, which is incredibly old when compared to the current version of Android 2.2 FroYo. Aside from that, specifications of the Xperia X10 include:

  • 4-inch touchscreen display
  • 1GHz Snapdragon processor
  • 8.1-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash
  • aGPS
  • 8GB internal storage
  • Android 1.6
