We previously caught wind that Sony would be working on an Android 3.0-powered gaming phone with PlayStation branding, and now a job posting for a Senior Server Engineer from Sony hints that work is going well and they need a little more manpower. The PlayStation division is looking for someone with experience in mobile development, specifically Android and will apparently be involved in running an online gaming service. Of course, if everything goes well, it’ll be interesting to see how the Xbox Live on Windows Phone 7, Apple’s Game Center, and Sony’s own offering will duke it out between themselves. Hopefully when the dust settles, it will be the consumer that will emerge the victor with a great gaming platform.
