It is Phil McKinney’s turn to take the stage now, and he is the Chief Technology Officer at HP. He’s on the way to reveal the future of technology devices as well as gizmos to the masses, charting a direction where it is possible to head. I wonder whether he reads concept design pages while preparing his speech. All I know is, the future is a very exciting time to be in as you never quite know what our engineers might actually think of these days. Step 2: In 2015, virtualization for virtual collaboration manged through avatars.

Step 4: A seamless network everywhere on the planet, leaving you connected always no matter where you are. Man, and I thought you can’t get any more connected already – I guess I was wrong.
Step 5: In 2030, cognitive devices will be available that adapts to the human brain, and devices will work exactly the way humans want them to not the other way around. Hmm, do we have to wait until that long?
First concept: Wearable Data Manager – You carry a profile with you (your profile along with the device profile).
Second concept: Interactive Work Surface – You have a work surface which you work on, while the other side will show whatever you’re doing so that the other person may collaborate with your efforts.
Third concept: Tablet for virtual collaboration with other people.
Fourth concept: Recap Meeting idea boasts a real avatar that knows you intimately, representing you at business meetings without causing any embarassment making it a far more advanced solution compared to today’s 3D avatars.
