Havok engine demo on the Xperia Play

Great news for Android gamers. Sony Ericsson and Havok have just announced the release of Havok’s product suite to Android developers. In case you haven’t heard about Havok, they are the creators of tools that have been used to create Triple-A titles like Uncharted 2, Fallout New Vegas, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, Bioshock 2 and more. This new announcement means that we’ll be seeing a lot more complex and advanced games on upcoming Android devices. Games created with Havok will have features such as rag doll physics, destructible in-game objects, advanced AI and more. It will definitely bring gaming to a whole new level on Android phones. While it was mentioned that Havok will be optimized for creating games on the Xperia Play, it can also be used to create games that will run on all Android phones.
