Have you ever seen those vintage looking images uploaded by your friends who use iPhones? That is because they have the benefit of Instagram, where it adds a vintage layer to your snapped images, and the only thing missing is the ability to add a statement in a classic font that talks about something random for a truly hipster photo. Well, those running on the Android platform need not turn green with envy like the Android mascot any more, since word on the street has it that Instagram for Android is well on its way. How soon? That is hard to tell, although the people at In Flex We Trust recently spotted a notification pop up on their Galaxy Tab 10.1, where it promoted Instagram as a featured application on the Android Market.

There is no Instagram on the Android Market just yet, and assuming the image at In Flex We Trust is not a Photoshop job, the real deal ought to arrive very soon. If not, then just be patient, as we do know that the company behind Instagram has been working on an Android version for quite some time already, so this project should give birth eventually.
