If you like music and watching music videos from your favorite artists, then you might have heard about VEVO. Its the go-to service for all of the latest as well as past music videos from a huge number of artists, both well known and upcoming. They’ve had an app for iOS for quite some time, today’s update brings a much needed feature. Full AirPlay support has now been added to VEVO’s iOS app, allowing users to stream their favorite music videos from their iOS device to their television sets through an Apple TV.
For AirPlay to work, both the iOS device and Apple TV need to be on the same Wi-Fi network. VEVO has some 75,000 music videos from more than 21,000 artists, so there won’t be a shortage of content. Original shows and live performances are also offered through the app. There has been chatter lately that VEVO might be added as a channel in Apple TV, though no official confirmation about that has surfaced as yet. In this case, there would be no need for an iOS device, those who have an Apple TV would simply be able to view videos from VEVO by accessing it straight from the set-top box itself. VEVO for iPhone and iPad is available as a free download from the App Store.
