victorinox-inoxVictorinox Swiss Army has a spanking new timepiece for you to consider if you are currently on the lookout for a new watch. After all, they have introduced a new watch collection at this year’s Baselworld in Switzerland, where the Inox timepiece has been depicted as a rugged companion to last you a lifetime, and each Inox has gone through a hundred toughness tests before it is sold over the counter. Some of these toughness tests are not to be sneezed at, including being run over by a tank, being dropped onto concrete, or exposed to temperature extremes as well as being in the midst of a raging sandstorm for some time.

The Victorinox Inox comes with a crown that has been protected by a slightly elevated bezel, alongside the crystal, of course. Touted to echo both the robustness and reliability of its Swiss Army knives, more than 130 tests of endurance have been faced by the Inox watch, although I don’t think that having a watch which can be run over by a tank is of any good when you’re wearing it, since you would probably end up as a mish mash of squashed bone and sinew. Urgh.

Remaining water resistant up to a depth of 200 m (660 ft), it is able to operate in temperatures ranging from -51 °C to +71°C (-60 to 160 °F), and is good for 12G of acceleration or deceleration. No idea on pricing as at press time, but it ought to hit the market from this September onward.
