Disney released the animated film Frozen in late 2013. It became a global phenomenon. The song “Let It Go” became an instant hit and you didn’t have to venture very far to hear it. For this and many other reasons it was soon believed that Disney will come up with a sequel. That assumption has turned out to be true. Disney has just confirmed Frozen 2.
The original film’s directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are leading the development of Frozen 2. Disney merely confirmed the sequel today and didn’t reveal much information about what the film will actually revolve around.
It isn’t surprising at all that Disney decided to make a sequel. The first Frozen film turned out to be the most successful animated movie ever and surely Disney will want to recreate its success.
It is often argued that Hollywood isn’t great at making sequels and they never live up to the standard of the original films. Will Frozen suffer the same fate? Only time will tell.
No story details have been provided as yet. There’s no artwork or renders for Frozen fans to gawk at. Its probably going to take some time before Disney shows something from the sequel.
Disney has not yet confirmed when it will release Frozen 2.
