beats solo2Many were curious when Apple announced their plans to acquire Beats, since Apple already had their own music streaming service and it wasn’t as if Apple needed a new product line of headphones either. However if you’ve always felt that maybe the Beats headphones lineup was a little ostentatious in its design, you might be interested to learn that Apple has since updated its Beats Solo2 headphones with iPhone colors.

As you can see in the photo above, Apple has refreshed the Beats Solo2 headphone lineup with new colors. These colors are a bit more subdued and the good news is that they have been designed to match the iPhone. They will be available in silver, space grey, and gold color options and also appear to have a matte finish to them which we have to say is a pretty nice touch, better than some of Beats’ other headphones which has a plastic glossy finish to it.

Apart from the new coat of paint, the Beats Solo2 headphones remain unchanged in terms of its hardware, so if you like the headphones the way they are, great, but if you don’t, you’ll probably have to wait for Apple/Beats to announce something new. This isn’t the first time that Beats has updated its lineup to match Apple products.

Previously the company launched an updated urBeats in-ear headphones with a $100 “special edition” that also came in silver, space grey, and gold options. The updated headphones are available from Apple where they are priced at $299.95 each.
