macbook-pro-speakersIt seems that there has been some issues regarding Boot Camp on the new MacBook Pro laptops in which according to users, every now and then a loud pop could occur when booting into Windows that in some cases, has led to the damaging of the speakers inside of the laptop, which is clearly not a good sign.

The good news is that according to AppleInsider, they have confirmed that Apple has since released an update to the Boot Camp drivers in which it should address the issue. Users who have installed Boot Camp since 1PM on the 23rd of November should already have the latest drivers, for users who have older installations, you’ll have to run the update process manually within Windows after you’ve booted into it.

Unfortunately while this does deal with the popping noise problem, this clearly can’t fix speakers that have already been damaged. However Apple is aware of it and has told AppleInsider that users who still continue to have this problem persist in macOS to get in touch with Apple Care phone support, and also to make an appointment at the Genius Bar where Apple will take a look at the problem and rectify it where possible.
