tesla_model_x_3If you were thinking that you could show off a spanking new ride to your family and friends this month in the form of the Tesla Model X, think again. This all electric SUV which has the amazing capability to hit a giddy 60mph in a matter of just 3.2 seconds might be officially launched, but it seems that only half a dozen of these bad boys have been delivered, and out of these six, Tesla CEO Elon Musk decide to keep one for himself – Model X No. 1, of course.

Tesla has continued to remain mum as to the number of Model X SUVs which its Fremont factory is able to roll out in due time, and Howard Ganz, who happens to be Model X customer No. 2084, is not too optimistic about the situation. In fact, Ganz did share that he dropped a $5,500 deposit close to three years back, and still has nothing to show for it. Right now, Ganz drives an all-electric Nissan Leaf, and it looks like he will be driving around in the Leaf for quite some time to come.

I suppose one will have to be patient, especially when it comes to newfangled rides like these. After all, isn’t there a saying that goes something like this, “good things come to those who wait?” The Bioweapon Defense Mode is certainly tempting enough to drop some serious coin for it…
