If you’re traveling and you need a device that can help charge your mobile devices, allow you to stream media content like music, videos, photos, and more, or store media from your phone, camera, or computer, you’re probably thinking that maybe you will need at least 2-3 different devices, right?

Not anymore. A new Kickstarter campaign for a device called the U+ has been launched. This is for a device that acts as a wireless storage gadget, a device that can stream media content, and a device that also doubles up as a 4,500mAh battery that you can use to charge your devices, all in one, pretty nifty, right?

The U+ can stream videos at Full HD 1080p thanks to its built-in video decoder. As it can act as a wireless hub, technically lag should be minimal if not non-existent as long as you are within range of it. It comes in 16GB or 32GB options which is handy if you’re on holiday and you want a way to offload photos from your camera.

Interestingly enough one of its more novel features is the ability for it to act as a remote shutter for your phone’s cameras. There is an accompanying smartphone app that allows users to pick and choose the files they want to view. Best of all it allows up to five users to connect to it at once, so everyone can stream and view their own content.

On paper it sounds like the U+ is an amazing gadget but whether or not it can deliver what it promises remains to be seen. However if you’d like to contribute and help make it a reality, head on over to its Kickstarter to learn more or pledge your support.
