ThinkCentre TIO II Screen01[CES 2016] The idea of an AIO is that it is compact but still offers desktop class performance. The downside is that upgrading an AIO isn’t quite as simple as upgrading a regular desktop. However Lenovo has recently announced the ThinkCentre TIO II, the successor to the previous Tiny-In-One computer.

For those who are unfamiliar with the TIO series, this is because a display that lets users dock PCs behind it, so in a way you could consider the TIO lineup to be a modular PC of sorts. The TIO II comes in 22-inch and 24-inch display options, but apart from the difference in display sizes, both units will function depending on the Tiny products you choose to slot in.

According to Lenovo, the TIO II will play nicely with 2nd and 3rd generation Tiny products, like the ThinkCentre Chromebox and the ThinkCentre Thin Client. The displays themselves are of the 16:9 Full HD variety, and will come with connectivity options such as USB 3.0, 2.0, and mini USB 2.0.

There is also a built-in audio for those who want to watch videos or listen to music. Unfortunately pricing for the TIO II has not been determined but it is expected to be released on somewhere in April 2016.
