brickedipadIt seems that these days, Apple is having a hard time pushing out an update that doesn’t cause problems for its users. For example the company’s previous OS X 10.11.4 update resulted in many MacBook owners reporting system-wide freezes, and now following the iOS 9.3.2 update, it seems that some iPad Pro owners are reporting the bricking of their devices.

According to the various user reports, it seems that there are some owners of the new 9.7-inch iPad Pro models who are experiencing bricking after they have installed the iOS 9.3.2 update. They are greeted with an Error 56 message that tells them that they need to plug their devices into iTunes.

However following that, some users are reporting that it doesn’t work and that it just keeps looping itself to no avail. According to Apple’s error code document, Error 56 is a hardware issue and they recommend that users install the latest version of iTunes and that they should try restoring their devices at least twice.

Now obviously not all iPad Pro owners are affected by this, but the multiple reports across various websites seems to indicate that this is more widespread than we think, which means that if you do own the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, maybe you should consider holding off on the update until Apple releases a fix or addresses the problem.
