Razer has introduced a new ultra low profile mechanical switch today, it sees the light of day with the company’s first mechanical keyboard case for the iPad Pro. This also happens to be the first mechanical keyboard that has been created just for the iPad Pro. It has an all matte-black finish and has a detachable polycarbonate case to protect the largest tablet that Apple has ever made.

Razer has made this possible by investing in its own exclusive keyboard switch production lines which have enabled the company to push the envelope on keyboard and keypad durability and performance. It’s that investment which has made this ultra thin design of the Razer Ultra-Low-Profile Mechanical Switch possible.

The Razer Mechanical Keyboard Case for the iPad Pro features Bluetooth which enables it to connect to the tablet. It also features a metal kickstand for better support. The case costs $169.99 and is available for purchase right now through RazerStore.com.

The company is open to releasing similar keyboard cases for other products. Razer co-founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan says: “We’re excited about the potential of our Ultra-Low-Profile Mechanical Switch and look forward to exploring other applications in addition to the mechanical keyboard we’ve designed for the iPad Pro.”
