The teaser includes the bottom corner of what appears to be a handset and carries the slogan “Defy Expectations.”

It has been claimed in a new report that Huawei is going to launch a new sub-brand at IFA 2016. The report cites Kevin Ho, a Huawei executive, as saying that this sub-brand is going to bring mid-range smartphones to the market.

Huawei is expected to unveil several new devices at its IFA event. The Huawei Mate 9, a high-end smartphone, is likely to be on the agenda alongside the new Huawei smartwatch. There have even been reports that the company could introduce a new smartphone geared primarily towards women.

We’ll only know for sure come September 1st when Huawei makes the announcements at IFA 2016. Its event is going to take place on the aforementioned date at 10:30 am Central European Summer Time.
