A rumor from a couple of days ago suggested that Sony could be holding an event in September in which the PS4 Neo will be officially revealed. Right now all we know is that the console is real, but for whatever reason Sony decided not to show it off at E3 2016 a couple of months ago, but we guess the wait is coming to an end.

As per the previous rumor, Sony will not be showing off the PS4 Neo at the Tokyo Game Show. Instead they are expected to host their own event, and sure enough that’s what’s going to happen. Sony has started sending out invites to an event that they will be hosting in New York City come 7th of September at 3PM ET.

While the company did not specify what the event will be about, the invite did state that it would be sharing details about its PlayStation business, and we can only assume that maybe we’ll be treated to more games, but more likely than not, we will also be learning more about the upcoming PS4 Neo.

Details of the console have been scarce save for speculation that it will be able to support 4K games, but either way mark that date down and check back with us on the 7th of September where hopefully we will also be able to find out its release date, price, and maybe supporting games.
