From the various tests that we’ve seen, Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus is currently the reigning champion when it comes to speed tests conducted between some of the top devices from today. For example we’ve seen it trump the Note 7 from Samsung, the Pixel XL from Google, and also seen how it trounced its predecessor, the iPhone 6s.

So the question is how will it fare against the OnePlus 3T, the latest and greatest smartphone from OnePlus? According to a recent video uploaded by PhoneBuff, it seems that the iPhone 7 Plus will continue to maintain its lead as the fastest phone that they have tested in recent times, at least compared to the various Android flagships released this year.

In the video, the OnePlus 3T takes the lead, but then it stumbles when it comes to Photoshop, after which the iPhone 7 Plus managed to overtake the phone and complete its first lap in 1 minute and 15 seconds, whereas the OnePlus 3T took 1 minute and 33 seconds. However the second lap really showed how fast the OnePlus 3T is.

The animations and the 6GB of RAM seemed to play a big role here as it completed the second lap in 1 minute 59 seconds, about 16 seconds from its previous lap. The iPhone 7 Plus took 1 minute 47 seconds, about 32 seconds after its first lap, which ultimately allowed it to still walk away the winner.
