One of the features of Apple’s Safari browser would be its reading list. Basically what this does is that it creates a list of websites and articles that you can save to read at a later time when you’re free. Granted there are other apps and services such as Pocket to help with that, but reading list is built into the browser itself.

That being said, it seems that Google could be introducing a similar feature of their own. According to 9to5Mac, Google recently pushed out a stable build of Chrome 57 to Mac, Windows, and Linux users, which means that the mobile version is probably around the corner, and as you can see in the screenshot above, Chrome iOS appears to have a reading list feature of its own.

However it seems that Google might have actually done a better job with it than Apple because according to the report, Google has managed to separate the articles you’ve saved in “Unread” and “Pages You’ve Read” categories, meaning that you’ll be able to see which articles you’ve already gone through and which you haven’t, which should cut down the confusion.

It’s not really a groundbreaking feature but it is one of those quality of life improvements that Apple should have included in Safari. No word on when the latest Chrome will be released for iOS, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled.
