We’re not sure how many of you guys remember, but back in the days there would be books that let you choose your own adventure. Basically it was a book that gave you a bunch of different options that you could explore by flipping to different pages, and depending on how you roll the dice and your options, how the story ends would be different.

However when it comes to TV shows and movies, that’s hardly the case as everything has already been pre-recorded, but that could change as a report from the Daily Mail has revealed that interactive content is something that Netflix is looking into. This means that soon users will be able to dictate how their favorite shows are played out, and how they could create their own endings, so if you’re a fan of twists or happy endings, you could interact with the content in a way that could lead to that.

According to their source, “We’re doing work on branch narratives so you are actually making choices as you watch. All the content will be there, and then people will have to get through it in different ways. We’ll see how it plays out. It’s an experiment. We’ll see if it gets much success. For creators, it’s new territory.”

The report quotes Netflix’s President Reed Hastings as once saying, “Once you have got interactivity you can try anything,” indicating that interactive content is an avenue that Netflix is interested in exploring. There is no word on when this alleged interactive content will be rolled out or trialed, but what do you  guys think?
