When it comes to selling smartphones, Xiaomi certainly has managed to find out how to sell so many and so quickly. The company had previously bragged about how many phones they managed to sell within minutes or seconds, which is why the company’s latest achievement doesn’t really come as a surprise.

In a post on Facebook, Xiaomi India has announced that they have managed to sell a whopping 1 million Redmi Note 4 handsets in the country in just 45 days. This is something of a milestone for the company as this achievement means that the Redmi Note 4 is the fastest handset to hit the 1 million mark in the country. Xiaomi estimates this to average out at 1 handset sold every 4 seconds.

In their post the company writes, “Another milestone achieved by Mi! Redmi Note 4 becomes the fastest device to sell over 1 Million devices in India in just 45 days which equals to 1 device every 4 seconds! Thank you Mi fans for your constant love and support and for making it a huge success. #FastestMillion”

Xiaomi has yet to break into the US market as far as their smartphones are concerned, and last we heard, that is unlikely to happen this year. It was suggested that maybe it could take place in the next 1-2 years, but with company executive Hugo Barra having left the company, we’re not sure if this might have impacted their plans.
