Asus chose to unveil its new flagship graphics card on April 1st, the day when many people tend to view most online news with suspicion, but there’s no reason to be suspicious of the company’s new graphics card which is a part of its Republic of Gamers brand of products that are aimed at, you guessed it, hardcore gamers. Asus has unveiled its flagship ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card.

The Asus ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is an air-cooled card but it can do much better than that when incorporated into a liquid-cooling loop. It has standard G1/4 inch fittings to allow for easy integration.

The Poseidon will take up two and a half slots to maximize cooling performance. The company says that customers should expect a 22 percent increase in flow rate compared to previous Poseidon cards aside from a 40 percent increase in heat dissipation area. The graphics card has received a factory overclock and comes fitted with Aura Sync illumination.

Asus hasn’t confirmed all of the details as yet so we’ll have to wait for a bit to find out more about this flagship graphics card. The company has said that the ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will be available at some point in the second quarter but it hasn’t confirmed the price as yet.
