With companies like Samsung, LG, HTC, and Motorola pushing out brand new handsets, one particular company has been rather quiet on that front and it is none other than Sony. The company’s smartphone efforts haven’t been quite on the same level compared to the rest, but it looks like they could still have something up their sleeves.

It has been recently spotted on the User Agent Profile website that Sony might have a couple of devices in the works. The device in question is the G8341 and the G8342, with the latter essentially being the dual SIM variant of the former. The UAProf has revealed that the phone in question will feature a Full HD display and will run on Android 8.0, which is rather interesting as Google has yet to release the update to the masses.

Assuming the listing is accurate, the fact that the handset is sporting a Full HD display is leading us to believe that it is most likely a mid-ranger. After all the majority of flagship smartphones these days are packing QHD screens, and even the OnePlus 5 is rumored to be making the upgrade, so for Sony to stick to Full HD, we’re guessing it might not be flagship quality.

In any case there’s no telling when these alleged handsets will be announced, but IFA is taking place later this year and we’ve seen companies announce new phones then, so maybe we’ll hear from Sony then, if not earlier.
